The media is renowned for trumping up their sources as "Senior" this or that. I have personally known congressional staffers that were no more senior than Justin Beiber, but were trumped up in articles they were quoted inf or journalistic credibility purposes .

The Ramstein/Drone quote is what tipped me off .....I'm pretty sure the person they are quoting is nowhere near "Senior" status. That type of quote would not be made without deference to DoD discretion being taken into account. A "Senior" staffer would know that.
