FEMA ****s up under the Obama Administration and the typical liberal lemmings come on here and blame everyone else and make excuses for government's failure.
What a bunch of stupid mother ****ers you liberals are. Politicians can do whatever the **** they want. Doesn't matter how incompetent they are, as long as they have a D after their name you vote for them. You all are a bunch of misanthropic garden slugs.
Again, we're talking about Oklahoma...a state that hates government. A state that didn't have a single county go for Barack Obama if i remember right. But now you wanna tell me that they waited on a federal agency to do what they needed to do over a two million dollar grant? Really? When you lie in the most active tornado alley on the planet? That's what you're trying to tell me?
If FEMA is going to reject it and you really need it regardless, then build the damn thing without the grant.
But don't eschew government 364 days a year, then blame it on the day you weren't prepared.
In fact, why wasn't this done many, many moons ago? It's not like they haven't been tornado prone since the Big Bang happened.
They aren't the only New England state. Regardless, New Englanders pay a hell of a lot more in Federal taxes than Oklahoma does.
There are serious economists who study the difference between what our states pay in taxes and how much they get in return from the U.S. government. These people generally don’t draw political, let along moral, judgments from these numbers.
I’m under no such constraint. The numbers, for decades now, have been quite clear: With some exceptions, what we regard as red states are sent a whole lot more of your hard-earned tax dollars than the traditional blue states. In effect, supposedly indolent, “tax and spend” liberals actually subsidize the individualistic, pure, and hard-working lifestyle of our conservative countrymen.

$2 million is most likely less than Sasha and Malia's great spring break adventure. But as we learned from the sequester, Obama doesn't care about anyone else's kids.
A handshaking relationship with reality should be a requirement for posting on CD.
You need to look at your congress critters ... that's who makes decisions.
Why don't you start your own thread about taxes if you find it so fascinating.
I JUST posted a website that seems to indicate that FEMA is indeed providing funding for a tax rebate program for individuals in Oklahoma to build safe rooms. Do you only read your own posts?

Apparently the money wasn't available due to government red tape.

My post was totally in context of the post I was responding to as that one was to the post it was responding to. If you have nothing critical or noteworty to add to the thread, why don't you find another to waste bandwidth on?
