Newborn Baby Grey Kangaroo - Attenborough - Life of Mammals - BBC - YouTube

Would it be killing if the other kangaroo was to throw the little baby joey onto the ground and let it die?

Human fetuses/babies are often aborted at a later stage of development than these newborn marsupials, yet it isn't killing because it happens in the womb. I'm pretty sure this little kangaroo can has some nervous system and can sense and has some level of conscious, just as the baby in the womb.

If you wanna abort, abort, but don't pretend you're not killing you're own child.

Then again animals that are prone to Filial Canibalism do it possibly as a form of abortion.

Anti-abortion proponents shouldn't use examples in the animal world to suport their position.

Congratulations, you get a quadruple facepalm. I'd give you an award for the dumbest thread of the day, but it's still early.

A female kangaroo, wallaby, etc. will toss her joey from the pouch allowing it to die to conserve her own body reserves during famine while keeping the embryo she is carring in the uterus dormant until the food supply is replenished. When the drought is over and grazing is replenished the uterine joey will start to grow again, is born, crawls into the pouch, the mother comes back into heat, breeds again and the cycle of life is once again in motion.
Kangaroos

Roos seem to be ok with it.

You can't argue when the premise is so stupid. The only thing left is to ridicule.

Take your lumps and move on

I am surprised at you.

I, for one, always look to kangaroo behavior for solutions to social problems. Indeed, it is well known that Benjamin Franklin, who originally wanted the turkey as the National Bird, also proposed naming the kangaroo as our National Marsupial. I do not recall the objection raised by the others. Perhaps it is due to the poor supply of marsupials in the United States.

I once had a gold fish that had a bunch of baby fish, then proceeded to eat them. Would the OP be happier if the mother ate the baby to abort it.
