I'm not surprised that you've posted a racially-themed discussion. The media has an important role to play in our society and as a watchdog over government, business, etc., and I'm not surprised a journalist or media organization will complain about a subpoena of one of their bretheren. The 'government' has an important role to play, as well. And there are times when the two interests clash. For someone (ie., journalist or other person) to suggest the President, or the federal government has now criminalized reporting .. is ... an ignorant response ... based on the information we now have. Time will tell, though, if either side has violated the law and if either has then there will be consequences.

Of all the people who should be criminalized for "doing their job" it is Judith Miller whose reporting on weapons of mass destruction were so outside of anything approaching journalistic ethics...well there is a reason she is no longer working for the New York Times.

Judith Miller's WMD reporting - New York Times war reporting - Hunt for WMD

Writing as a former journalist, I think that it is the height of arrogance for journalist to argue that whatever they do, and however they do it is beyond reproach and sanction. In the name of "just doing our job" has removed both the moral, and legal constraints upon a industry that has as much power over the lives of everyday citizens as any government. When I think of the lives that I have seen destroyed by erroneous, ill-conceived and biased reporting I can only shake my head that the sanctimony of "journalist" like Miller who have profited handsomely for the damage they've inflicted. Despite that, I still believe in a open and free press but I also expect the press to conduct themselves responsibly and honorably and when they don't to be subject to the same if not greater scrutiny than those that they scrutinize.

He was elected because he is black. It's that simple. He doesn't have any credentials that relate to leading what once was the greatest nation in the world until he took the Oval Office. He is a black community organizer and that's it. You get what you vote for and that inidividual is a reflection of the voters that put him in office which is nothing but a group of racists.

He was elected .... twice .... because a majority of the people who participated in the Presidential election thought he was the best choice. It's that simple. It really is. You seem to have a problem with his being a mixed race - white/black man. Why? You might want to better inform yourself about government, politics and our electoral process. Then you might not say some of the things you've said. Nor the racial references.

If you don't vote for Dr. Ben Carson in 2016 then you're a racist.

Must be that these people simply love people who are anything but colorless, causing terrible pain to the colorless? Or, would that be "translucent people" (after, 'white' would be a color too).
