Let's face it, he not only would have fit in, he possibly would have been considered a RINO by some of their standards today.

He wouldn't have fit in nor would he have been a part of it. I am pretty sure he would have been sickened by the behavior of both parties today.

They would accept him for being a racist but on the other hand he didn`t care much for assault weapons.

Reagan embraced the "religious Right" to obscure his dealing for big money. Reagan was the architect of releasing the RR on the Left and letting them do his dirty work. That tactic has worked for the most part until today.

Ronnie and Nancy wern't from that RR ilk.

Yea, because someone who is politically astute cannot possibly have an informed opinion, can they?

Psst: It's even better when it's humorous. Humor is your friend.

There is a long history of comedy merging with social commentary in this country: Have you never heard of Mark Twain, Will Rogers or Lenny Bruce? Bill Maher is too much of a misogynist for my taste, but that doesn't mean that he isn't spot on politically.

I have never in my life met a liberal with a sense of humor. only independents have a sense of humor when it comes to politics. if maher was so astute and informed, he would not be on pay cable.
