This Govt since day 1 and I mean in the 1780's has not been worthy of trust..... It has never been worthy of trust and No Govt is.

What we have to trust in in the CONS and Bill of Rights and that is all we ever had by the hand of Man.

Truths which are self evident.

This type of public outcry is media and political driven.
Unless the public sees that the Repub. run house does not want to address any issue concerning privacy then they do not belong in Govt. Get on those Repub. house members to fix the Patriot Act.

Elections and what the people want will carry the day.

NO you cannot trust the government or the specific employees either. In general they would like to do better but they just do not have the will. But this observation is after a long lifetime of case after case in which the government did not place an importance upon the individual.

Neither did Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn.

The men that founded this country were intelligent men. They founded this country based on distrust of the government. Thats why they created The Bill Of Rights. They knew that the government needed boundries that restrict thier role.

Unfortunately given that something like 56% percent of the population is OK with the government violating your privacy tells me that they think that the Bill Of Rights like the Constitution is outdated!!!!

Welcome to the new Amerika... Komrade!

Good job.

Sadly kids in school are still taught Lincoln was a great president, when in reality he was a tyrant.
