Just as every economist who is not a paid partisan liar has said Republican budget cuts are stupid and harmful of the economy. The right lied about massive budget cuts helping the economy, they are not needed at this time & instead it would be better to wait until the economy fully recovers from the Bush/Republican great recession before enacting cuts, and it is the result of Republicans' continual attempts to damage the economy just as they have been doing for the last half decade.

These are facts and they are not open to debate.

LOL..they called the cuts ill designed.
While the Republicans may have cut it was the Dems that decided what to cut.
FAA workers, IRS workers, WH tours.

The details weren't spelled out by the Republicans.
The details of what was cut go to the Democrats.

And I agree. They were poorly designed. There is waste and fraud that could have been cut.

$2 billion a year to keep empty Fed buildings clean.
Sell the buildings.

Audit the social programs.
Lifeline saved over $1 billion per year thanks to an audit that removed 41% of subscribers who didn't qualify.

Is that it ? Guess you can't defend which programs and people the Dems targeted for those big sequester cuts the Repubs shoved down their throats.

No, I won't defend the idea that there should be no budget cuts because, clearly, that's not what the IMF said. Instead it is Republican cowards trying to cut needed programs (like education and infrastructure) along with unneeded waste (such as massive waste in the military budget which is just a giveaway to corrupt campaign donations; much of it the Pentagon itself says it doesn't even want).

And yet the good Senator from PA Casey forced the army to buy tanks the Army didn't want.
I am all for military cuts. Do we need 12 Carrier battle groups? NO
Do we need a fleet of billion dollar bombers? NO
But it was pelosi who tried force the airforce to buy a fleet of private jets.
This isn't a GOP only problem. The Dems are equally addicted to pork.
As for education Yes it needs to be funded, but more seldom equates to better. More without proper oversight and control is simply waste.
Look at the bloated EPA, The department of Energy. There is waste galore that can be cut but both parties refuse to let go of their pet pigs.

There is hundreds of billions worth of garbage like the tanks the Pentagon doesn't want. Program after program but do Republicans want to cut a single penny from it? No, never.

Like I said it was the Dems that chose what to cut.
Then you also had stories about the effects of the sequester cuts that were not attributed to the sequester.
Lying about cuts is never a good policy.

White House Blames Sequestration for Vaccination Cuts That Obama Proposed a Year Ago | CNS News
The Obama administration claims that because of the $44 billion in across-the-board spending cuts (sequestration) this year, tens of thousands of American children will not be vaccinated. However, the idea to cut the vaccination program – at a rate higher than sequestration might do – was introduced by the president himself in his 2013 budget proposal over a year ago.

The IMF. Isn't that the strong arm of the U.S. government that advocates adding debt to sovereign nations to the point that they can't afford that debt and then starts selling those countries off to the highest bidder via privatization?
