I'm sorry, but aren't you punk? It's not very punk to whine about workplace issues. You shouldn't care a fig about vacation time and tax breaks. You should be all about anarchy, not worrying about whether Madeline down the road takes a day off to go to Olivia's recital. Honestly, how very bourgeois of you.

You didn't ask for this gift, but you haven't refused it either.

You sound very lonely to me. I'm not honestly sure if you want a legitimate, biological, practical, economic, etc. answer to your question about why the government and society would obviously be more interested in people who are raising the next generation or if you just want a soap box to vent from... Regardless, you sound like a very lonely and confused individual to me. I don't particularly pity people who are lonely, though, since independence has its own special benefits even if excessive independence can be extremely alienating.

They're everywhere up here. I think it's a good idea.

As a society we spend way, WAY too much time talking about "mommy this" and "mothers of children that." Big freakin deal: you got fat and pushed out a life form. Why the hell should the world owe you anything for your idiotic decisions?

Mommies these days feel it is their right to whip out their ugly, post pregnancy boobs shove milk into the little maggots they pushed out of them...EVEN IN RESTAURANTS. Sorry, but watching a human take the role of bovine is not appetizing. A fat man wouldn't be allowed to take his shirt off in a restaurant, why does a fat moo get that right?

And then there is the pregnancy seating in buses, "courtesy" parking in front of stores for pregnant women etc. Why do I have to inconvenience myself because some dumb woman doesn't know how to use birth control?

And it gets even worse when they have the little sucker. They get free time off at work, tax write offs, excuses for being late to work etc etc. I will never have kids and I will never be with a woman who wants one...where the hell is my perk? Do I ever get a free month off? Do I get a tax write off for my two rats? Can I use a date with my Glock and the shooting gallery as an excuse to be late the way mommies do their children?

Worst part is, mommies are given so much more than fathers, both by the government and society. My mother was a drunk who beat me and kind-sorta molested me...and people still think I'm the worst person on the planet because I don't speak with her. But if my father who, other than being a looser, didn't want to give me ten dollars for a pack of cigarets, no one would knock me for not talking to him (granted, I don't like my father much either, because I'm generally against family as a whole, but still)

And mothers are all around useless anyway, both for society and their offspring. Mothers are less likely to pay child support when they are supposed to, are more likely to abuse and neglect their children, and are all around awful at one they do...I think that hamster side of the brain that tells them to eat their offspring is still kicking in most of them.

But no one ever puts these cows up to task: the political right holds on to the "housewife" idea while the left tends to like the whole "mommy goddess" thing. Hence no one wants to be honest and say it: mothers are overrated, lazy and need to shut up and handle their own business and not expect society to bend over backwards for them. You got the eighteen year STD (i.e., children) you have to deal with the consequences.

And yes, I did have a human female push me out of her dirty womb once upon a time. Big deal. I never asked her to bring me into this disgusting cesspool we call human existence and hence I don't owe her anything....

And I do wander: what do mommies say when a kid asks them (as many do) why they didn't have an abortion? What, do they think the vanity it took for them to create life insulates them from the moral responsibility for justifying causing so much pain?

When ever you are suffering know that your mother is to blame: she could have ended then and there and spared you, but instead she threw you into this state of torment.

All human suffering can be traced back to human existence, and mothers are responsible for human existence and hence, motherhood is the origin of suffering. It is certainly nothing to be celebrated.
Always remember and never forget: down the road - not across the street.

Look it up.

No, if you have read some other of Victorianpunk's past posts it is easy to see that she has some serious mother issues. She assumes all mothers are as bad and therefore as undeserving of respect, as hers apparently was. I feel bad for her.
