There are no black colleges. You can say it a million times but that still doesn't make it true. Can you find one document from any HBCU that advertises itself as a black college?
HBCU= Historically Black College or University. Is English not your first language?
Can't believe I had to go this far into the thread before someone pointed out there is no such thing as a black college. If people have a problem with history, they should hop in their time machines and ask their ancestors why mainstream colleges weren't happy welcoming places for black students.
This basically the reason behind this thread. Most of the posters who post about Obama ruining things for black people couldn't care less about Obama or black people. They just like to say "oh ha ha black people you voted for Obama and now he's messing up your life"
I fully expect to see a thread one day that says "More black women going natural after the price of relaxers increased due to Obama drinking Crystal Light instead of Kool-aid!"
You didn't read the article did you? Black leaders and the Presidents of these institutions are specifically blaming this Obama policy for their shortfalls. Obamabots will defend their man to the bitter end it seems.
seeing as Obama has nothing to do with the program, again , another faux outrage thread.
Obama doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything. He's the president of unintended consequences, and has become famous for knowing nothing about what's going on under his watch. He's taking plausible deniability to an entirely new level.

I'm not an Obamabot and I did read your article. "Black leaders"? I didn't see that term in the article..nor did I see the term black college....are you sure you read the article?
As for them blaming Obama; this is merely them looking for a scapegoat. They would have blamed any POTUS. Why not look at the schools and figure out why the tuition costs have risen so rapidly? The article says that costs at Howard doubled...how does that compare to other public universities in the area? IMO many of the HBCU's have been in trouble for quite some time because they kept marketing a "black experience", a "network of educated black professionals" and while that may have worked for previous generations, it doesn't work anymore.
But of course this thread isn't really about the problems at HBCU's; it's about them blaming Obama for not just throwing cash at them to solve the problems they created.

The alternative being Republican candidates who campaign on less grant money and loans with even more onerous terms.
Yeah I'd love these folks who insist there are no black colleges to tell the alums from HBCUs that.
Yeah as someone whose roots are deeply planted in HBCU's they will be the first ones to educate someone on the history of their school. The term "black college" is derogatory and I doubt anyone with pride in their school would allow someone to reduce it being simply a school for black people.
Exactly. And the "historical black colleges" should NOT be labeled as "black" colleges as the poster used in his title.
So your argument is over advertising rather than actuality ?
i can see your point there, i mean, i disagree, but i see your point.... but your earlier comments make it seem like you were talking about the make up of the student body and who was allowed to attend rather than advertisements.
