Drug Enforcement Administration It's obvious by their name. They would lose a lot of money if drug were legal.

If you can provide evidence they are keeping the cartels alive to keep funding...fine. Do so. If your only response is to start rambling about other crap and accuse people of thinking it "has not a connection" with the DEA when you are the first person to mention it...I am frankly tired of speaking to mental patients.

Did you read the article?

The former DEA agent explained it, even though it should be just common sense to anyone with any.

“The DEA doesn’t want the drug war to end,” said Nelson, when asked about a possible connection between the agency’s hatred of legal pot and its buddies in Sinaloa. “If it ends, they don’t get their toys and their budgets. Once it ends, they aren’t going to have the kind of influence in foreign government. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but where there’s smoke there’s probably fire.”

New weapons and Toys, infinitely growing budgets, raises, overtime pay, citizen control, ability to influence foreign countries, etc.

Heroin, meth, cocaine won't be legalized any time soon. The DEA will still have plenty to do.
