#1. They'd shift all of the agricultural subsidies in such a way as to provide infrastructure for giving people local, fresh vegetables and meat that isn't all sketchy.

#2. Invest in free community gyms.

That's it. "Fat taxes" and banning 32 oz sodas are an affront to civil liberty and don't help anybody.

It's the responsibility of the individual to make smart decisions on their own health. Nobody forces anyone to be a couch potato and stuff their face with crap.

If they were serious about obesity in our youth, they would mandate PE classes back into the public schools for an hour a day... It worked pretty well when I was young.. You just didn't see many obese kids...

yep h physical Ed and better parents making good choices themselves like the past. Junk food has only grown because people demand it in buying.

We are living in a country of constantly decreasing personal responsibility. People will look to blame anyone and anything but themselves and can't do anything for themselves.

Good idea! Let's mandate PE classes. I assume you will have no problem increasing school funding to pay for hour-long PE classes.

Not a problem.. All we have to do is eliminate a bunch of the socialist classes that have been put into the system to offset the cost... A lot of these are only fluff anyway....
