I am interested in mathematics, and I thought it would fun to compare US presidents in terms of their length in office.

As of today Barack Obama has served 1,615 days in office ... longer than Abraham Lincoln was in the White House.

Franklin D. Roosevelt served the longest term in office.

President William Henry Harrison served the shortest term of only 31 days in 1841.

In another month Obama will surpass McKinley and before the end of this year he will have served longer than Richard M. Nixon.

Unrelated to this, the King of Thailand - HM Bhumibol Adulyadej - is the longest reigning monarch in the world has been on the throne of Thailand for over 67 years, longer than Hirohito of Japan, Queen Victoria, or Eleanor of Aquitaine. If he lives another year and a half his reign will surpass that of Franz-Josef I of Austria-Hungary.

Three more years and the country is Taoist?

Is there going to be some kind of mass conversion to that religion?

Not that I have anything against Taoism ...

The OP uncleverly listed presidents forced from office. Assasination, death and resignation.

Clearly the OP's twisted thoughts are of all three.

Lincoln and obama have in common a desire to keep the people enslaved to the federal government.
