It would be easy for me, someone who has not had sex, to encourage abstinence- I walk the walk! But I have studied humans and realize that immorality is built in, and only those who are bound by a fear of a powerful creator will want to avoid sexual activity outside of marriage. The average, non-religious person is bound by built-in sexual desire. And in a secular sense, the sexual contact of consenting individuals is of no concern. The goal is to prevent the damage that sex can do in the form of unwanted or unneeded pregnancy and disease. Sex ed should provide scientific basis for avoiding sex or instruct how to do it safely. The matter of asexuality or homosexuality should also be described to help break the mystery associated with sex. Parents who object should have the option of not allowing their children to participate and instead get time to go to church for religious training. Allowing those against premarital sex to force their views on others is simply wrong. And openness might encourage potential partners to be more forward about sexually transmitted diseases they may have had, or be tested to find out. As long as nobody is forced to, let them have sex and minimize the risk.
How about we get rid of sex ED all together in schools.
Lets see if the rates drop without handing out the condoms and talking about sex.
Make the parents teach them something and the most important teaching is self respect and responsiblity.
I said there is such thing as healthy fear.....something like fearing getting pregnant if you can't afford or take care of a baby would be a healthy fear.
I'm not calling you out you just said "why should I believe in a god I must fear"
