I didn't realize a post could be a "twirp," lady.

I guess that would make your posts, "dullards," er, "dullerds."

“Perfect safety is not the purpose of government. What we want from government is to enforce the law to protect our liberties. The government does not need to know more about what we are doing. We need to know more about what the government is doing. We need to turn the cameras on the police and on the government, not the other way around. You're correct - it was the author I was really referring to. Most people get that. Sorry you didn't.

I don't think this makes sense, gov't is not efficient in any way, shape of form. We have a dictatorship now, and it's never been more inefficient.

Actually, my friend ... government is highly efficient .... it's just a matter of perception and what one considers "efficiency".

I think you're falling victim to the concept of efficiency=common good, economic prosperity and peace. In that sense, you'd be correct .. government couldn't be any less efficient if these were it's goals. However, if it's goals are death and destruction ... fomenting hate and discontent ... polarizing populations and establishing chaos as the rule ... instigating endless war .... raping and pillaging every national economy .... and producing a uniform hopelessness across the planet .... I would say that their "efficiency" knows no historical equivalent.

Ahhhh...what a refreshing missive! :-) Bear in mind, however, that the chaos and lack of prosperity and security, we currently enjoy, brought to you courtesy of government, are the same things that government proposes to save us from. If we can just see our way clear to give them more power iver us, to do so.

Hamstrung as government is, by niggling little things like the Constitution, how can we expect them to help us? All we need do is stand aside, quit worrying, and let them have the reins. Take heart, that they can ride that horse till it drops, and when it does, food for all! Lol

yes, but is that what Truman meant when he said it?
Statists view people as the problem, and gov't as the solution to all it's ills. More curtailment of freedom is the cure. Gov't hates us for our freedoms. A militarized state will keep em in line. We are mongrels that require obedience training and should be kept on leash at all times. Violators will be sent to shelters (camps) or put down.

a couple funny stories in the news today, depending on your point of view.
Garages are not areas to socialize in, they are for cars.
