If our bodies are our property, why can't we sell our organs at death to the highest bidder? (ethics, illegal)

Pro-abortion people use the "it's my body" excuse for killing a baby, why can't I use "my body" to enrich my family by selling organs to the highest bidder?
Get rid of the donor waiting list....give people the option to donate or sell.

I think that if you are trolling for pro-Choice advocates to argue with you aren't going to have much success, because within certain strictures as an personal opponent of abortion but who believes in the legal right of a woman to make that decision, I can't see an overriding argument against a person selling their own body parts for whatever price they care to charge.
But having said that there are some interesting and practical arguments in opposition to the proposition, but none that I can see that in principle would lead me to oppose the sale of "body parts" as you put it.

1. black markets for organs are illegal
2. most of our "organs" are not worth much when we die, with the exception of bone grafting material. An 80 year old heart, kidney, liver, or lung is like a car with 300,000 miles on it.
3. It is best to secure organs while "the pump is still working" on brain dead patients. Harvesting organs from a body which has been dead for several hours is of not much use.
Its my kidney and my body why cant I do what I want with it. It's my choice isnt it?
