Webster's Dictionary:
Marriage: the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law

"To claim that to deny two people of the same gender to marry is “discrimination” is the same as saying that it’s discrimination to deny that a square is a circle!

It is a privilege for a man and woman to marry and have children and to have society honour them. I deliberately say that it is a “privilege” for a man and a woman to marry to highlight one of the glaring problems with this kind of counter appeal. This emotional counter appeal assumes that marriage is a “right” – it fails to appreciate that marriage is a privilege. No one can legitimately demand a privilege.
Just as circles are round, marriage is between a man and a woman."

Although not all hetero couples have children, ALL children come from a man and woman union.
Thus, it is in society's interest to support marriage as defined by a man and a woman.

A "homosexual" relationship is based on sexual fetishes.
It is not platonic friendship.
It is not sexual intercourse (since that can only happen with a man's part & a female's part).
It requires the use of substitutes (like anal sex and dildos) - fetishes.
It is a liability for society to dish out special legal priviledges based on sexual fetishes that statistically prove to be harmful medically and psychologically.

Back with the fetishes, already? Will you once again be describing the sex act and sexual organs again in graphic detail? We already have one porn thread here, I thought that was plenty.

Why Marriage Is Between A Man And A Woman

I agree.
Whether they are those that want to not see that or not that is the bottom line truth of the matter.

You clearly have a fetish for the word "fetish."

Why Marriage Is Between A Man And A Woman
I see more of this bitter desperation that's being discussed. These types of left-field ridiculous arguments only make the anti-gay movement look bad.

I refuse to let you stop me from marrying my fiance. Your side has lost. Soon in all 50. Deal with it.

Why Marriage Is Between A Man And A Woman
It's always more convenient to start with the conclusion and work your way back.

The Supreme Court has stated that civil marriage is a civil right. See Loving v. Virginia.

If you don't like it, take it up with them.

This is not true. All children come from a fertilized egg. Since you can't get that right, any other facts you list should be disregarded.
