Facinating documentary about oil fracking (interview, weapons, environmentalist, Brown)

Wow. Does anyone remember those stories about oil fracking in rural communities, and how their water was brown and you could light it on fire? Well I just saw this documentary on AXS Tv. Its on Direct TV, and wow, it was eye opening, and its crazy how big of a lie it was! I'm always skeptical of the medias bias, and I even believed it.

Basically all of those stories were misleading lies. You could light their fire on water, but their water had been like that for over 100 years. The leading guy who broke the story and started the protests, was caught in lies in his campaign. He referenced and showed documents that weren't his but he said were his, and he lied about what was in those documents. The man on the documentary then went to interview those who said their water was brown, and one guy who said his water had "weapons grade uranium" in it, and he asked to have a sample. Well the guy said that day the water was fine, but some days it was bad. He then interviewed the farmers in the community, and they all said they wanted the oil companies on their land and that their water was fine. They said that farmers are loosing their farms because they don't have the money from leasing their land to the oil companies. Everyone in the town said everything was fine there, and the water problems were there before the oil companies started. Then there were accusations that if you even drove through the town, that you would get sick, but that was never true either.

The residents of the town went on campaigns to get their reputation back, because everyone thought their town was a bio hazard and didn't want to come there, but they couldn't get any media attention over the liberal media and environmentalist groups. They loved it because there was so much tax revenue and cash inflow to the community from it. Then they had independent testing done of all the water, air, soil , etc, and it all came back fine (except for the water that was already contaminated before). THEY THEN looked more into the scenes where water was lit on fire. Well then under oath, some admitted that they staged the water that was lit on fire by pumping gas into it!

Then when he interviewed and tried to expose the leader of a documentary that started the protests, and a politician who lead laws to stop it, they got defensive and made him leave and asked for his video tape.

He then even went further to explain what fracking actually was, and why the process makes it more environmentally friendly, and almost impossible to contaminate a whole town. Basically, makes it so that you can drill in one location instead of many. And it is done well below any water sources.

That's certainly the most sensational part of the video isn't it? Here's the director of that movie admitting to knowing about historical documentation going back to the 30's of that happening.

The Professor from Cornell University, Dr. Anthony Ingraffea and others in the broadcast made some very good points. The special was dramatic at times but there was a lot of substance to the special.

Evidently Tom Ridge graduated from Homeland Security to a consultant with the Marcellus Shale Lobby as a consultant.There is a tremendous amount of money behind the fracking lobby.
