Agreed, the racism started coming out of people left and right when he was elected it is sad isnt it. Simply seeing a black man in office pisses them off that much.
If MLK had a son, he wouldn't look (or act) like Obama.
If any of the threats happened, it would probably do far more for the pro-gun side than anything else reasonably imagined. You think guns and ammo are expensive and scarce now...just wait until angry black mobs start rampaging and burning white suburbs/homes/businesses.
It would be a bloodbath and unfortunately decent Black folks would also suffer if thi stupidity would come to pass. Don't expect Obama or Holder to help prevent this as Holder has already refused to prosecute this "group" for voter intimidation in the recent past.

Seeing old white men in office pisses people off too. Rascism and distrust has been around for a long time and will continue to be around for a lot longer. If it's not black vs white it's men vs women or the 1% vs the 99%.
The future's health depends on how many people in the middle of the extremes finally drop the race card and the "me" card out of their everyday lives and see each other and themselves as individuals.

That makes absolutely no sense. The people on the extremes still exist correct ? then they will still do racist things.
They haven't "tried" to make this a "race issue" ...... they DID make this a "race issue". We had a thread a few days ago about the "Obama Legacy" - I said that the Obama Legacy would be that Race relations would be set back decades. I was asked why I said that.
This is why. It may take us many decades to get past what we are seeing today. Hard to believe, but it's pretty un-deniable. Many will suffer. Few will care.
As a marcher in the '60's for Civil Rights ...... it breaks my heart to see this.
It is a shame...and bizarre. A president of the United States helped ignite this mess while the DOJ disgracefully fanned the flames, what the hell were they thinking of. Obama was supposed to heal race relations, and wouldn't that be something if he helped set them back 50 years.

This guy won a Nobel Peace Prize?
President Obama did not set race relations back, it was those who chose to attack him because of his skin color that did that.
by the way, the DOJ does this all the time when they believe the cases could escalate. You are fanning the flames yourself by claiming it is so out of the ordinary for this sort of national case
