Really. They had to throw 30 million at California legislators to prevent GMO's being labeled. They are clearly aware of what people think. It is not a partisan issue.

Buy organic. And avoid Kraft at all costs.

people care, but trash corporate media will not cover this fact. Many posters in "this" forum are posting distraction. Can you guess why?. Its no longer a mystery.

I buy organic, artisanal and local as much as I can, but I still can't be exactly sure of what I'm eating.
The label "Natural" is completely meaningless.

Just for clarification... the issue of GMO's are often confused. The issue is not whether GMO's are safe or not. The issue is why we need GMO's to begin with.

The reason GMO's were created was because decades of use of herbicides and insecticides have poisoned our farmland to the point where organic crops will no longer grow in the poisoned soil.

GMO's were created to develop plants that would grow in poisoned soil.

The safety issue is not that GMO's are themselves dangerous; it is that we are eating food grown in soil that is saturated in herbicides and pesticides, and that those poisons are being absorbed by the plants and transferred to us when we eat them.

We are currently splicing insect and plant DNA in order to create plants hardy enough to grow in poison.

It was actually more than $50M. Yes, we are starting to use
Non-GMO Shopping Guide
to define which products we will be purchasing. We've decided to vote with our wallets.

Just for clarification, GMO crops were designed to grow drenched in round-up. Monsanto and Dupont sold the farmers on the idea that yields would be higher and less poison needed. The exact opposite has occurred. Yields are up to 50% better using heirloom seeds, and farmers have to increase their roundup by 10-25% each successive season. Monsanto has these farmers by the nuts because they signed away their rights to use natural seed. Once the farmer signs the agreement to use GMO's, he becomes Monsanto's slave.

One of the unintended consequences of roundup ready crops is the creation of superbugs. Insects adapted to roundup poison within 3-4 generations, making the need for stronger poisons the next logical step. These genetic bio-crops are killing us, and this is why human illness (cancer, ADD, autoimmune diseases, allergies...etc.) have exploded since 1996.

The hell it isn't!!! GMO attacks the stomach linings of the insects that eat it. Why shouldn't we think that our ingesting them wouldn't have similar results? I never had digestive problems until a few years ago, and I firmly believe that it's a result of GMOs.

Please stop poisoning this thread with misinformation.

You sound like some kind of hysterical moron. If you have some proof other than your misinformation and personal anecdotal BS that GMO's are dangerous then post it, otherwise go pound sand.
