I support individuals opting out of the unions at their places of employment. I also think they should forgo the raises and benefits that the union negotiates.

Unions are evil, work around them and they want to get of work and one can fire the bad ones.

If you don't like to work at a unionized business and pay your required union dues, quit and go work at the VERY abundant non union, low wage jobs found all around! Problem solved.

I'm curious as to what impact telling us the teacher is a vet, has on his paying or not paying union dues?

Oh didnt you know? Vets can do no wrong! Anything they want is AOK.

People don't seem to understand the difference between respecting them for their service, and that they are regular people too.

His lawsuit will ultimately reach the Michigan Supreme Court, where Republicans have had a working majority for about the last 20 years. My money is on hm to win in the end..

I would hope so. Good for him for standing up for his rights. Hope he nails the school for stealing his money and giving it to a corrupt little club.

Certainly you would agree he would negotiate on his own and receive whatever compensation is agreed too whether it's less, the same or more.

Why should the union be able to inject themselves between two private parties?
