NAFTA was supposed to be a Utopia Trade Pact where Mexican's would also benefit.
Instead, it has lowered their wages and is one of the reasons for the increasing influx of immigrants.
A super majority of Americans support immigration enforcement and oppose Amnesty according to countless polls and surveys about illegal immigration. Unfortunately, the pro-Amnesty lobby is circulating a few politicized polls that claim the opposite.
Here you can see for yourself how Americans truly feel about illegal immigration. It is clear that Americans want enforcement, instead of Amnesty for illegal immigrants. Please check back often for updates and feel free to use these polls and surveys about illegal immigration in your letters to Congress, letters to candidates and campaigns, letters to the editor, books, articles, talk radio shows, and online posts!
The survey by CNN television and ORC International says just 17 percent of the American public support the Afghan war, while 82 percent oppose it. Poll: Most Americans Oppose War in Afghanistan
Looking at the aftermath, the only ones that have benefited from these policies is the wealthy elite. Not the American People or the Nation as a whole.
It is quite clear the majority of Americans were CORRECT when one looks at the aftermath of these policies.
What freedom means to the wealthy elite is the means to exploit people in this country and in other countries for their own gain as the policies clearly show.
It would be awesome if it were that simple,but.....
Agreed.
As a former study details, the policies crafted are not for American's or this Nations benefit but solely for the wealthy elite that have captured our government.
U.S. Policies Favor The Wealthy, Interest Groups, Study Shows
Quote:
Not only do ordinary citizens not have uniquely substantial power over policy decisions; they have little or no independent influence on policy at all," the researchers write in the article titled, "Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens."
Affluent Americans, however, "have a quite substantial, highly significant, independent impact on policy," Gilens and Page write. Organized interest groups also "have a large, positive, highly significant impact upon public policy."
The research supports the theories of Economic Elite Domination, which says policy outcomes are influenced by those with wealth who often own businesses, and Biased Pluralism, which says policy outcomes "tend to tilt towards the wishes of corporations and business and professional associations."
"The estimated impact of average citizens’ preferences drops precipitously, to a non-significant, near-zero level," the researchers write. "Clearly the median citizen or 'median voter' at the heart of theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy does not do well when put up against economic elites and organized interest groups."
Looking at the condition of the country and to borrow a term from Wall Street, ("The best and brightest and top talent)" it is quite clear there is nothing best, bright or successful about them. They are immoral degenerate outcasts. Based on the polls, it is not the majority of American's that are at fault for the condition this country is in. That responsibility lies in those that back and engage in legalized bribery via lobbying and money as Freedom of Speech.

Nice post. Although, I have to quibble with using Top Conservative News and Townhall as two of your sources. The way they phrase they phrase their poll questions are so laughably partisan that it's pointless to even call them polls. For example:
Most Americans want illegals deported, but most Americans also support a path to citizenship for illegals who have built lives here for a long time and who don't have criminal records.
Most Americans don't like Obamacare, but most Americans also do not support repeal of the law because they dislike our old healthcare system a hell of a lot more.

I don't know about the underlined latter part, it may be quite different than that.
No, because there's no guarantee the people answering the poll have a clue what they're talking about.
Well, it is very clear for anyone paying attention that the immoral degenerates running the system and those with influence over it belong in the dumpster.
Let me guess, anyone opposed to the Status Quo and the way things are run are a Liberal right?
That would make the majority of American's Liberals based on what I have seen you support and how you use the term religiously.

Well, Big Pharma and Insurance wrote Obamacare but I hardly ever see anyone attacking these giants. It makes it better when it can be blamed on one team or the other. Big Pharma and Insurance are so rich in other peoples money that they have enough to sit at the top of the Lobby chain to bribe politicians with.
It is a bailout for Big Pharma and Insurance at a time when American's are making less money due to Globalization and can no longer afford the expensive costs. So "brilliant" solution is to force everyone to pay rather than attack the costs and industries involved.
