Bestiality brothels are 'spreading through Germany' as campaigner claims abusers see sex with animals as a 'lifestyle choice' | Mail Online

Bestiality brothels are spreading through Germany faster than ever thanks to a law that makes animal porn illegal but sex with animals legal, a livestock protection officer has warned.

Madeleine Martin told the Frankfurter Rundschau that current laws were not protecting animals from predatory zoophiles who are increasingly able to turn to bestiality as a 'lifestyle choice'.

Good thing we don't live in Germany.

Funny thing is, the states where bestiality is not illegal, tend to be those good "moral" states where they don't allow same sex marriage.
Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming are states where bestiality is not illegal.

It may have never dawned on the people in those states that they needed such laws. That is not to say it doesn't happen there but such type laws are generally made in response to an incident that horrified the public. The first time I ever heard of this type of activity was a couple of years ago in a story about two men who, for lack of a better term, raped a 10-month-old pitbull puppy, and I am not a young woman. I was flabbergasted. In happened in a Northern state and an animal rescue group was trying to raise funds for some surgery for the dog. I believe it was already illegal in that state and the young men had been arrested. I'm sure if no law existed in that state, it would have by the next year. It is absolutely appalling and should be against the law. Animals, like children, can not give consent.

That said, I do wonder when this will be on the block for being touted as "normal" and "lifestyle choice". If history, and I am not talking about recent, is any indication, that is what will happen. It is just a matter of how long.

Animals cannot consent. Period. End of discussion. Any comparison to homosexual relationships is irrelevant and inflammatory, unless you are making the argument that gays, lesbians, and bisexual adults cannot consent.

I suspect the guy who started the post yesterday on how Germans have more freedom than Americans didn't have this in mind. Or did he?

Since you are wrong about Texas, I imagine you are wrong about the other states:

How odd. The article actual identifies exactly zero "bestiality brothels." And what it calls "case studies" turn out to be a single anecdote about a farmer setting up a nanny cam to catch guys allegedly sneaking into his barn and screwing his sheep.

As to it's alleged spread, the article says squishy, qualified stuff like"

Quote:
Bestiality dropped off the statute books as a crime in 1969 but in recent years the number of people believed to be participating in such acts has increased significantly.
What? No numbers? No study? No actual data? "Believed" by whom?

(Hint: The plural of "anecdote" is not data.)

And as to the "lifestyle choice," the only one who has used that phrase appears to be the lone woman who is the the sole source for this entire claim:

Quote:
Madeleine Martin told the Frankfurter Rundschau that current laws were not protecting animals from predatory zoophiles who are increasingly able to turn to bestiality as a 'lifestyle choice'.
The bottom line appear to be that this article has found in the OP its intended target; People unhealthily fascinated with the sexual behavior of others, and with an intense psychological need to portray the rest of the world as somehow more perverted than they are.

So what's the solution? Do conservatives want big government telling you what you can do and not do?
