With most liberals, it seems that you must tow the party line 100% of the time or you are just as evil as those Neanderthalic conservatives that hate gays, women, and minorities and want to turn America into Iran. The polarization in this country is getting so intense its scary.
Anyone who doesn't agree with the liberal left view is labeled as a right wing nut job.
I wouldn't even call some of them liberal. Liberal means pro-freedom, be it on gays, guns, drugs, religion, abortion, whatever. The people that want to ban guns and force everyone to abandon rural/suburban living for cities to combat global warming are leftists, not liberal.

This is true. I've been called a RWNJ on here many times, ironically I'm not right wing, I'm libertarian which gets the liberals even more upset which I don't understand why.
Oh, how I hate labels. In fact my analogy has always been you take a 12 inch rule with 1 being far left, and 12 being far right, most Americans fall somewhere between 5 and a half and 6 and a half.

I don't think you picked the right party to stereotype. It is wingnuts who are in lockstep. Liberals, in fact, are rarely in lockstep, yet wingnuts are always in lockstep.
As far as I'm concerned, you sound entirely rational. I don't know any liberals who think anyone should agree 100 percent on any topic.

It's just mostly because you're on CD where everything is seen as one extreme or the other. Conservatives are no different - if I say one tiny thing that is pro-Democratic = I'm a *******!
In real life - it doesn't seem quite so well defined.
