Another example -- the Black families in my neighborhood and children's school are much, much more similar to my family than to Black families elsewhere where the parents had little education and/or live in subsidized housing. A lot of us come from mixed income backgrounds and despite hardships of our parents or grandparents, have now "made it." Not everything should be about skin color... too bad so many people are obsessed with it.

There is no need to victimize yourself. Anybody can be racist, blacks, hispanics, anybody. But whites can still be racist. Just because there is a backlash towards what use to be known as "reverse racism", that doesn't mean that it is okay for white people to be racist.
It goes ALL ways. We are all equal and that's what all people of every race need to understand.
