I don't think this is an either/or case, but an also run.
This tit for tat just gets out of hand. As a Rudy thread, it's about him not whoever was involved with Whitewater.
And what do you mean "duplicity." Are we making up stuff?

I'm referring to the duplicity on both sides ~ Republican and Democrat. Say one thing; do another ~
In my opinion, it's VERY appropriate to contrast Rudy's bad judgment to other politicians and how they have or have not been hurt. Drawing parallels is a good thing ~ it gives perspective to just how one might be hurt by controversies....

"Duplicity" makes no sense. The White Water land deal was investigated for years, with a special prosecutor, by a vicious bunch of rabidly partisan GOP hypocrites. They turned over every rock, every slip of paper, held hearings, spent millions of our tax dollars doing it too, for what? They came up empty! So, let's investigate Bernie, see what nastiness may be tied to Rudy. Does Rudy also have links to organized crime? Inquiring minds want to know, the SOONER the better.
Bad judgment does not require comparisons. It requires inquiry.

The investigation came up empty? Really?
Jim Guy Tucker was the Governor of Arkansas at the time and was forced to resign ~ 3 counts of fraud...
His attorney, John Hales ~ tax fraud....
Bill Mars, Sr was a business associate of Tucker ~ conspiracy....
Steven Smith, former then-governor Clinton's aide ~ conspiracy to misapply funds...BUT, Billy Clinton was pardoned.....
Webster Hubell, Clinton political supporter and Rose Law Firm partner (Hillary) ~ embezzlement and fraud....
Jim and Susan McDougal ~ OMG....what they were charged with is too long to list...
David Hale, banker and self-proclaimed Clinton support ~ conspiracy and fraud....
Neal Ainley, Perry County Bank president ~ embezzled bank funds for Clinton's campaign....
Chris Wade, Whitewater real estate broker ~ multiple loan frauds...BUT, Billy Clinton was pardoned....again....
Robert Palmer, appraiser ~ conspiracy....BUT, Billy was pardoned, again...
And there's more ~
But the Clinton's were so innocent and knew nothing about any of it!? Riiiiiiight......

Well, there's a full-blown inquiry into the situation. It will be interesting to see it all unfold and if it truly does have any affect on Rudy. Personally, I think Rudy's campaign has more to fear from Hillary's campaign than it does Bernie Kerik....

Actually, I think Rudy has more to fear from this video than he does from Kerik OR Hillary....
Rudy has basically made his campaign all about the idea that he would be the president who could protect us from terrorist. He has based this theory on the fact that he was the mayor in a city that was attacked by terrorist and he made a lot of tough speaches about it. However, 1. He has no experience in diplomacy with other countries. 2. He has no experience with the armed forces. 3. Many of those he chose and appointed to highly sensitive offices have ended up under investigation, indicted, or forced to resign. 4. He and Bernie were "joined at the hip" and Rudy pushed hard for Bernie to be put in charge of homeland security. If this is an example (and I think it is) of the kind of security he would provide as president, I think we should all be very afraid, should he win.
My view of Rudy is that he might be the one candidate capable of preventing a Democratic Party route of the Republicans in 2008. He is the one candidate I think might be able to break up the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania block which supported Kerry in 2004.
However, I don't think he can get the nomination. I think this investigation will hurt his chances, but they weren't very good anyway.
