It would greatly benefit them to do so. Why go down with a sinking ship?

And, here we are again with the secession thing. Why don't you secede?

Texas doesn't need the US. The US is destructive to the economy and welfare of Texans. The Federal Government is grossly inefficient and its foreign policy is destructive to all of its citizens. This is the opportune time for Texas to break away from the Union.

It would benefit us to stick together as a nation and oust the people who are sinking us.

A war is not necessary. 2/3 majority is what it takes.

It would probably be more acceptable if the Fed kicked Texas out of the union.
And at the rate we're going and pissing off this administration they just might do it.

Texas turns down Fed dollars with strings attached and the Fed cuts us off of all funding.
Texas decides who gets funding to the dislike of the Fed and the Fed cuts us off of all funding.
The EPA is fining Texas for the smoke pollution that drifts up from Mexico each year when they burn their fields.
To a logical person this is a no brainer that Texas can't do anything about that but not the EPA.

This has been going on for 4.5 years with stimulus money, RTT money, medicaid money.
We seem to be surviving though without Uncle Sam's money.

They did.

It would be interesting in this day and age if a state declared independence and some other government that does not support the US recognizes the state as a country.
