Well...since you asked.

It's Time magazine, but the study was done by two professors at Princeton, one who had won the Nobel prize in economics. Time magazine just reported on the study--they didn't actually conduct it.

Im more inclined to think that happiness will give you a better chance at prosperity (money)

Money alone cannot buy true happiness, but it can allow you to be miserable in very nice surroundings.
