Usually an apology goes to the person[s] harmed, who on this forum is a victim of Jesse Jackson's words?
I'm not 'harmed' by what he said. I'm not even surprised by the stupidity of what he said. In a vague way though, his comparisons insult my knowledge of U.S. history over the past 50 years.
Why didn't JJ lead a march of the NAACP Convention in Orlando to the statehouse in Tallahassee. For that matter, why choose a Selma-like Apartheid State for its convention. I'm sure a good time was had by all.
Hyperbole is part of JJ's shtick. I get it. But please, come up with something that makes a little bit of sense.
umm I'm here and I don't care what he said. doesn't affect me in any way. Words have no more power than people give them, I choose to not give his any.
Next topic? Why do we allow police the ability to cover city budgets via tickets? discuss!
So the man who admitted spitting in white peoples food, now pretty much lumps the whole state of Florida into one group. So who's the racist now.

Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson says he won't back down from controversial comments he made following the George Zimmerman verdict after he was asked to apologize by Florida Gov. Rick Scott.
Jackson on Tuesday called Florida “the Selma of our time.” The remark follows Jackson saying Florida was an “Apartheid State,” after a jury earlier this month found Zimmerman not guilty on all charges in the shooting death of black teenager Trayvon Martin
What a bizarre post. How do you figure that you are owed an apology from someone that has zero effect on your life? How are you spoiling "black folk"? And since when is denying to apologize evidence of not being human?
Funny how this wasn't the attitude when it came to Rush Limbaugh's comments about Sandra Fluke.

That's because he can't. He will never admit he was wrong. He has an image to maintain and a lot of supporters that like his race baiting behavior.
