My beef is that they are cherry picking here. If you take a stand then take it across the board with everyone. Apple won a ban against HTC and the ban stood. Samsung won a ban against Apple and the ban got veto'd.

We have the government picking winners and losers again ?
What type of message does that send to the business world ?

The last veto done by the Executive Office on an ITC ban was done in 1987.

I don't have an issue with the veto itself; just the application of it being inconsistent.
It's a display of cronyism IMHO and when it comes from the top level of government it sends a message to business.

Do you want to do business in the US when you can't be sure that the laws/rulings apply equally ?
Stop the charade! Your "beef" is Obama. You know absolutely nothing about this case. If he had done nothing (and you got wind of it in some right wing source), you would have had quite another thread.

Nope..cronyism.

If he had done nothing then that would be consistent with the last ban on HTC products.
Just apply the law fairly across business.

And you libs wonder why there are no jobs being created, you wonder why business is offshoring.
Business reacts.

Not everyone is polarized by political party. I haven't voted D or R since 2000 so you get off your high horse of "You don't like Obama", "You don't like Black people".

I don't like cronyism displayed by our government.

AT&T was the one most impacted. They went to Congress about this and a few Congressmen spoke to the WH about this.

Samsung is currently in a battle with Ericsson over a similar issue and will be interesting to see if any bans come out of this and whether or not that will be veto'd or left to stand.

That seems to be the standard response to anything critical of Obama.

You see there's a bigger war here being fought in the tech sphere.
iOS vs Android

Google was smart. The Moto-X is built here in the US so can't be "banned" from import
