I would like to hear from someone who thinks Al Sharpton has done great things. If so, what has he done to earn your praise?

Not me. I haven't had any use for this guy since Tawana Brawley.

Martin Luther King is spinning in his grave.

He found a hot younger woman. That's a great thing.

Not a huge fan of Sharpton, but I do find it interesting that he riles up the likes of people like you and others just by the mere mention of his name.

I think he is a media figurehead and an agitator in the greatest sense of the word. I also don't think most people who complain about him knows about all the things he does outside of 1-Tawana Brawley 2-Duke Rape Case and 3-Trayvon Martin

He actually is pretty outspoken on all sorts of police brutality and black on black crime issues, including gun violence in black communities. But his true power is riling up racist people IMO. If you didn't hold the views you hold, you wouldn't pay much attention to him. I don't pay much attention to him and he is actually a regular guest on a radio show I listen to daily. He is a bunch of rhetoric and you fall for it - hook, line, and simple.

Sharpton must have some people who have "got his back", because he would have vanished into obscurity after the Tawana Brawley situation.

He is a race huckster.

He enriches himself at the expense of others pain, real or imagined.

He disgusts me.

If it weren't for the wing nuts, I probably would barely know who Al Sharpton is. I don't watch his TV show or listen and i've never heard him on a radio interview. Same goes for his right-wing counterpart Michele Malkin

What if you are a black person who is "riled up" by Sharpton?

I am not a huge fan of Sharpton either but when he ran for President, during the debates he exhibited lots of common sense.
