It's very simple.

As the President of a country, it is not in good form to belittle the President of another country, even an enemy, but there are a few Presidents that don't care about the impact because the President who represents the country - that country will always be an enemy. Putin (regardless of what you think of him) doesn't go around belittling Obama, because that's not what Presidents do.

Regardless of what each President believes or how they run their country, a President, from any country, would not be building good relations if he went around insulting the President of a country that doesn't agree with him or chooses to run their country differently. He ends up alienating countries or making enemies. It took a long time to get Russia to come as close as it was to the US, and in a very short time Obama is resetting the clock to a time when the US did not have a good relationship with the US.
Same reaction when the administration told the President of Libya he was lying when he said terrorist attack while Rice was saying movie.

The Dems came back with "terrorist lovers" and "anti American" because you don't call a President of a county a liar on public media for the world to hear.

Would you like to improve relations with Putin? We could do so by sending him all of our classified info and even some money.

George Bush today said the US military would start delivering humanitarian aid to Georgia amid reports that Russia has broken the terms of a ceasefire in the Caucasus conflict.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain took a hard line on Russia during a news conference this afternoon, saying the US needs to review the country's aspiration for membership in the World Trade Organisation in light of the events of recent days. The senator also called into question whether Russia should host the 2014 winter Olympic Games at Sochi.

It's been more than twice Obama has done this.

You had Russia on the road to grudging respect of your vaunted "democracy" and boy did your idiots squander that traction with their stupid vacuous decisions regarding a plethora of your freedoms and rights going up in smoke, seemingly overnight.

They're, for one, now looking at your tarnished example of democracy and saying to themselves "jeesuz, thank god we didn't buy into that; they're worse then we were!"

I know, eh? I never thought I'd live to see the day when the righties defend a hardline communist.
(While whining that Obama is a socialist).

That's some coincidence there! I was just thinking the very same thing about you with your unmitigated loyalty to someone of questionable character.

as a briton i'am amazed at the dislike of obama it seems that he was left a mess by bush and he is trying to clean it up,at least obama doesn't take himself too seriously he can laugh at himself ,i think that is a fine quality.....you should try having bullsh*t Blair or david cameron for leaders then perhaps you would appreciate Obama
