If the democrat party has worked well for black Americans then they should vote democrAtic . I do not see the masses rising out of poverty by democratic voting. So either them masses enjoy their place in life or they are slaves to Washington. DC
Did the masses rise out of poverty under George Bush. No income inequality rose to record levels.
You will be on better ground if you said that both parties have failed.

No the GOP had nothing to say that interested young whites, or nonwhites of both both genders and all ages. They are also losing ground in the suburban areas where highly educated whites live. VA and NC being evidence of this.
Given that ageing whites will die, and the young population is increasingly non white the GOP had better figure that out or they will end up like the Whig party. Dead and long forgotten.

If you believe that...then the contrary is also true. White voters generally precieve that Republican policies more benefit them than do Democrat policies.

Yes blacks choose to avoid GOP events because the GOP has nothing that interests them.
After this is the party of Strom Thurmond, David Duke, etc. This is the party which courted white votes in the South, who fled the Democratic party because of the civil rights actions of LBJ.
So come again and tell me that blacks have any reason to like them.
And why do you focus on blacks? Young whites, Hispanics, Asians and Jews also don't like the GOP.
