"The American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) is hosting what it hopes will be a gathering of one million people in Washington, D.C., on the 12th anniversary of 9/11 to urge the government to reveal “the truth” about the attacks. “We want to hold President Obama accountable for his empty promises of creating a transparent government,” march organizer Isa Hodge told U.S. News. “What exactly have we spent all our money, lost lives and taken lives for? The entire record of the 9/11 Commission has never been released.” Protesters will also denounce “FBI traps,” “illegal tapping and surveilling of Muslim Americans” and “media propaganda making the word terrorist synonymous with Muslim,” he said."

The American Muslim (TAM)

If this actually happens, I have 3 words for the FBI: Facial Recognition Software.

I stick with facial recognition software especially looking for the visa overstays and terrorists with a million people in one place at one time.

That is what we call double standard, they want others to be profiled but don't ever profile them or they will flip out.

Maybe Obama should just drop a few drones. Out of a million people he should be able to hit one person who overstayed their visa. And if they get a terrorist, that would be a bonus.

I like the concept of wanting transparency. Why aren't Americans marching on Washington demanding transparency rather than b*tch about it on a forum???

You are being ridiculous. Everyone would be looked at. I'm suggesting that with a million people in one place the FBI can find criminals, and visa overstays and terrorists. It presents a unique opportunity. I don't care, for example, if they catch 5 women who skipped out on paying their taxes, some guy on a Most Wanted List for terrorism, 15 student visa overstays, and/or a reporter who kidnapped his kids from their custodial parent. Now maybe the FBI is only interested in finding the visa overstays (I assume your photo is taken to get one) and known terrorists but that doesn't lessen the opportunity presented by a lot of people in one place.

I attended about an hour of Farrakhan's Million Man March with some co-workers because at the time I worked in the area and could walk to it at lunchtime. I would have thought the same thing but that was 1995 and I doubt that the software was around then but the point is, the FBI would have scanned our faces, too.
