At the other end a person who is 55 only has to pay about $350 under Obamacare instead of the $500-600 they would have to pay today.

That young person is subsidizing the older person's premium.

Keep in mind that many people who cannot afford it will not be paying those premiums. The program offers discounts based on income level. So those numbers are meaningless in terms of what people will actually have to pay.

So they will be going to the hospital and pay nothing just like today which is one of the big reasons we were told we had to enact Obamacare.

So those who can afford it will pick up the tab and be poorer as a result. Good plan.

Not only that, but they calculated the $300/month for the silver plan--the one with the highest and most comprehensive coverage. If you're a healthy young adult, it would make sense to go down to the bronze plan, which would be closer to $200/month if you have to pay the full premium. $200 a month isn't bad at all for health care coverage, and if you're not making much money and you add the subsidies on top of it, it's a really good deal.

It's a tax credit, and those who get the subsidies in the form of that tax credit are working people paying taxes. I thought you guys were all for tax breaks?
