Last week I got news that my health insurance costs are going up. A lot. In 2014 my monthly premium for a family of four will increase 15 percent to $575, my deductible will double to $3,000 and I will lose my drug coverage, adding another $100 a month to my expenses. My story is typical for employees of Gannett, the Detroit News’ parent company, and other businesses across the country.

Obamacare is not just creating havoc in state exchanges, it is roiling the larger private health insurance market. Costs are skyrocketing thanks to the expensive mandates, regulations and taxes buried in the Affordable Car Act.

Call it the Unaffordable Care Act.

Wow, some of the media are actually reporting the news.

Written by HENRY PAYNE, who used to work for the National Review and Weekly Standard. Hardly "news" when it's on the opinion page.

My company's health insurance costs are only going up yearly about $50 per person individually. I hate to say it, but I think we got a break for "favors rendered" to the federal government in certain endeavors. That would blow many liberals minds if they knew about it.
Granted its a cheaper no frills insurance and if I took more extensive insurance it would be considerably more increase wise. And we're going the " hire part time people so you don't have to offer insurance" route. But I was expecting Obamacare to shaft us and really mess up our programs and it looks like that hasn't happened. But we'll see what happens next year.
