Company is already in retreat mode on facebook.
Weird. Not the least that they (the group of 25) waited over two hours for a table. I also find it hard to believe that the woman (white) who claimed she felt uncomfortable about their presence would likewise be in wings joint for over two hours. Something smells.
They were asked to leave after they started video recording the conversation. Forced to sit and wait? A party of 25 is a big party and they had to wait for that many seats to be available. I've had to wait over an hour at places just for 2 seats. Is that racist too? What the one lady said about being scared has nothing to do with the story at all.
Did they have a reservation? I'd guess that parties of 25 can be difficult to find space for. But if they DID have a reservation, then space should have been available quickly, if not immediately.
How often do parties of 25 have to wait two hours, when they don't have reservations?
How long do they have to wait when they do?
If they didn't have a reservation, what time of the day was it? Around lunchtime or dinnertime when the place could be expected to be jammed? Again, if they DID have a reservation, then the time of day doesn't matter, they should have been seated quickly if not immediately.

Does this Wings place even HAVE reservations?
There's a lot this article doesn't say.
All true. There is a lot that is not known. We have one side of a story.
I still can't believe that people would wait two hours for wings. Unless, it were the only place in town.
I am suspicious of those who quickly resort to social media to complain about a business.
Did you guys read the article? Let's stay focused... the confrontation with the shift manager was not over the wait, but the fact that the manager told them they were not being seated because another customer said they felt "threatened" by their group. It was only at that point, upon learning of the discrimination, that they began recording the conversation. The 2 hour wait was simply a sidenote.

Threatened by their group, and that she didn't want the group seated in her section, or at least that's what the article said.

exactly. the reservation is irrelevant to the story. the white person felt threatened by the group, the shift manager said im not serving you because you make this person feel threatened, so they were forced to leave.
this shift manager should be gone like yesterday, and her name should be outed to see what associations she has.
