Truth has never been the hallmark of a Leftist's character, but deception and prevarication has always been, as illustrated so well by the above OP.

Defending Obama is one thing; but, making up lies about him is quite another. And to call such a man "great," is abhorent, and demeans those truly great men of our historic past.

This has been one of the most (if not the most) failed Presidency's in American History, marked by scandal (Benghazi, IRS, to name but two), total failure (or total lack, take your pick) of foreign policy (the enabling of The Muslim Brotherhood, leading to total chaos in the Middle East as well as Libya), and worse, the destruction of American prosperity, and the engine of Liberty, free market capitalism.

If America survives through this, it will be only by the Grace of God.

Why would anybody waste their time trying to refute that garbage? There is absolutely nothing to refute. It's not even substantiated on top of being one huge logical fallacy.

Tea party was created to push more radical Conservative views because a black man had been elected. President Obama inherited the worst mess in history courtesy of Bush and Republicans. The country was in a free fall and bleeding to death while two misguided wars raged on, representing a black hole of spending that Republicans ignored. Bush had turned a surplus to a record deficit. Fearing that President Obama's policies would lead to success, Republicans in Congress opposed his every move just because. Republicans vowed to wreck the economy, eliminate Medicare and Medicaid, ignore the health care crisis, continue to fund the Bush wars, continue to ignore Bin Laden, hurt the economy by emphasizing cuts, cuts, and more cuts, and keep taxes low on the rich. Romney was pushed up and he was annihilated by the President. Sequestration happened because of Pubs. The Right-learning Supreme Court even wants to bring back Jim Crow.

Now, we come to Syria. Finally, the Republicans can resuscitate the image of Bush by pointing out that President Obama did the same thing in bombing Syria, going it alone. Bush obtained Congressional approval by deception, lies, and deceit. They hoped that President Obama would bypass Congressional approval. Didn't happen. Despite a Republican-cursed Congress that has opposed the President at every turn, this magnificent President chooses to get Congressional approval, before taking military action. This is Checkmate, Pubs.

Face it Pubs. This President has proven far your superior. It bothers and irks the hell out of you judging by the constant barrage of baseless criticism and conjecture. He's tackled the health care crisis, and revived the economy. He's drawn down on Bush's wars. He got Bin Laden, caused change in Libya, and is about to cause change in Syria...all without putting our soldiers in harms way. He includes other nations in the decision-making and execution, avoids going it alone. He realizes that we're party of an international community. His values are consistent with those of MLK and he shines on Civil Rights, where Republicans flounder. The changing demographics favor the ideology that he represents. This is the present and the future. He's dignified, supremely intelligent, versatile, articulate, full of integrity and class. He has a beautiful family. He's a model father and husband. As a black man, he represents the type of black person that Republicans scream is the ideal, yet the truth is revealed that such black people are to be feared by Conservatives. After all, insecurity is the cornerstone of the Conservative ideology.

President Obama always holds the superior view, invites the perspective of opposing views, and reaches across the isle to get things done. "Ideology purity does not get things done" - this is his motto, and thus far, it has put the Conservative ideology in a free fall.

Thank you, Mr. President. We are fortunate to have you at the helm.
This is possibly one of the greatest satirical pieces I've read in ages!!!

I recognize your talents, and have read some of your pieces in The Onion.

Please people, look at the facts. Obama would not drag the US into a foreign conflict alone. He has always said, and in fact only done such, in conjunction with International support. UN, NATO, or a coalition with other like minded Nations. In Syria there is no such international cooperation. He knows the Constitution, he knows the Law and if he can put this into the appropriate body, and make the GOP look foolish in the process, more power to him. The Repub operative word for the next few days is "bungling" by the way, trying to imply the Prez doing what the Constitution says he must is wrong, in attempt to persuade their minimally informed followers, he is "bad Obama". Seems to be working on some. Too funny!
