Quite simple-- Coverage is universal for all citizens of the country.

You're wrong... Many countries have this. How can you determine if countries have universal health care if you claim to not understand the term?

Many countries also cover residents and even visitors. Since everyone is covered, coverage is said to be "universal".

I can't explain it any simpler or slower. But, please, don't let that stop you from posting whatever disingenuous followup you have obviously planned.

An even better question ... how can someone with enough knowledge and skill to use a computer to the degree necessary to access the World Wide Web, access and successfully subscribed to City-Data, and create & post a message, apparently not know how to use a search engine to find a simple definition.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_health_care
Universal health care — sometimes referred to as universal health coverage, universal coverage, or universal care — usually refers to a health care system which provides health care and financial protection to all its citizens. It is organized around providing a specified package of benefits to all members of a society with the end goal of providing financial risk protection, improved access to health services, and improved health outcomes. Universal health care is not a one-size-fits-all concept; nor does it imply coverage for all people for everything. Universal health care can be determined by three critical dimensions: who is covered, what services are covered, and how much of the cost is covered.

A wish-list item among leftist fanatics, where government takes money from those who earn it and either spends it directly on various govt-approved health insurance programs, or gives it in subsidies to people who did not earn it, ostensibly for them to purchase various govt-approved health insurance programs.

It's something the egalitarian, liberal progressive, master minds in the US envision as their holy grail. Force every American, thru the coercive and tyrannical power of government, to rely solely on a top, down, federal government run health care system. There would be no other medical care other then the single federal health care system.

Never rule out the possibility that the OP is a middle school student trying to complete a summer school homework assignment. Once you read City Data with that mindset, it all becomes a lot easier to swallow.

Well yeah, that pretty much goes without having to say it, if you attempt to enact it in the U.S. of A.

A system in a compassionate society, where everyone puts their money in a communal pot, so every single one of its citizens has access to health care and no one is terrified of getting sick and going broke.
Or, as the righties like to say....communism.
