lets keep our fantasies at least relevent to some historical accuracy.

You dont know what Obama is ultimately going to do. He may say in his national address that he wants Congress' approval, but if he doesn't get it, then He may go it alone...

Is that enough of a shot for you? Is that a shot you can handle?

He drew the Red Line. Assad crossed that Red Line. President Obama walked up to that Red Line, then turned away.
President Obama was willing to go without Congressional approval, now he may be asking for it. Either way it goes now, he will be seen as indecisive on an international scene. Shot across the bow now is pointless. If he was going to do it, he should've done it. I think the poll numbers against an airstrike in Syria made him rethink this, instead of wanting Congressional approval.

Or, you know, we can assume he would do exactly what he said he'd do.

I guess it's "accurate" to say the Arab Spring began in 2010 - there was a protest that began in Tunisia on December 18th of 2010. The ramp up was all 2011 - Egypt (Mubarak must step down), Tunisia, Yemen (both leaders stepped down) protests in other MENA countries ...... and then Syria, which began in March 2011 - just about a week after both Hillary Clinton and John Kerry were praising Bashar al-Assad as a "Reformer" ..... in fact, Kerry had another trip planned to see his buddy Assad - until the Tanks rolled against the people and the mass executions began.

Romney was not elected in 2012 - Don't you remember the wonderful campaign rhetoric?

Osama is dead and GM is alive, Al-Qaeda is on the run and almost decimated. Our Foreign Policy was so wonderful - the Arab Spring was so great, freedom to all these people for the first time in history.

All thanks to Obama. That was the election year rhetoric, but it wasn't really what was happening.

End of story.

I agree that Romney would have probably bombed Syria, but only after getting to the bottom of who actually used these weapons and not because he talked some **** he has to now back-up or look like a punk.

FTR, the reason conservatives oppose military action is because everyone in this civil war hates America.

Helping to topple the Assad government simply means more chemical weapons will find their way into the hands of terrorists.

Just because Romney was wrong doesn't mean Obama is less wrong.
