Just saw on NBC Nightly News that the richest 1% of the population made 20% of all available income.

And people here don't think that the middle class needs unions

The income gap hasn't been this bad since the 1920's.

Unions outlived their usefulness one hundred years ago. The gap is laid at the feet of your lord and savior, the gay president... So now you know and you can rest easier...

It's nice to see cons acknowledging that income inequality is a problem.

Stop QE and you slow the widening gap way down.

The income gap we have is not where it is because of a free and fair market either.
Far from it.

It is because those at the top connected to the hip with the government rig the rules in their favor at the expense to the rest of the nation.

Monsanto for example does not want GM Labels on their food because then the consumer would be able to choose and that would hurt their bottom line.

In Capitalist Markets, consumers can make choices on who to support based on any reason they fancy, from the quality of products, management, customer service and so on.

I'll bet if it was required that all pay from the top to the bottom was posted at all business, like McDonalds for example, so that people can become more informed, there would be an uproar from the Anti-Free Market Capitalists.

Yep.

Let's see. What major migration trend, if stopped, would lead to a rise in wages for the class previously known as 'working'?

Yep. The QE wizards want to keep things inflated like Housing for example, rather than let the market dictate it.

I agree! When people say things like that, it diminishes the credibility of anything else they say in a post.

Trade agreements are to blame. You set up Nafta and "most favored nation" trading status with China how could you expect any other outcome? The workers in China and Mexico earn 1/5th the wage an American worker earns yet the owners of CAPITAL earn MORE by moving production (aka costs) offshore.

You voted for this mess. Ross Perot warned you but nobody would vote for him. Enjoy the world you created.
