Did it take the prosecutor 8 grand juries to charge OJ Simpson?

In other words, he got off on a technicality. So, you can stop shopping for Delay's white robes.

Oh lord, was he ultimately found guilty of the crime or not?

According to the LAW he's innocent. What is it with liberals on CD not understanding that their emotions have nothing to do with whether a person is legally innocent or guilty?

Acquittal: not-guilty verdict: a judgment given by a judge or jury that somebody is not guilty of a charge

I certainly don't agree with or rejoice in this. Tom Delay did get off on a technicality, but that doesn't make it right.
I hope his political career remains "dead".

Exactly. According to the law (which is all that really matters) he's innocent of the crime he was accused of. According to some low life uneducated fools (who have opinions that don't matter to anyone but themselves) he's something else besides innocent.

Of course not. You don't care about justice, not when you can destroy your political enemies with lies and trumped up charges. This is why you people are so despised.

Exactly. OJ Simpson was acquitted of killing his wife and her friend -- therefore, legally speaking, he didn't do it. No matter how desperately some people might want to believe he did.

uhm, delay was convicted, but the conviction was overturned on appeal, there is NO acquittal in this case, unless a new trial is convened and he is subsequently found not guilty.

The PJ Tatler » Acquittal: Tom DeLay’s Conviction Overturned

Ronnie Earle’s ridiculous, political case against former Rep. Tom DeLay has finally collapsed. An appeals court has not only overturned DeLay’s conviction, but has ordered him acquitted of all charges.
