Waste fraud and abuse in the SNAP and HUD programs to make sure those recieveing benefits are eligible. I would imagine the vast majority are families in need but i hear about to mcuh WFA to feel comfortable Who polices these programs to make sure these EBT cards arent being sold for cash at 50 cent on the dollar. Who decides what a poor family can buy with their entitlement and what is happening at the market registers that accept them. Who polices HUD makes sure their isnt some meth head living in a dwelling meant for a mother and her two children. Who makes sure the dwelling meets sect 8 requirements and the landlord is living up to his end of the contract to the tenent and HUD

What about SSI. Who checks these checks out and makes sure they are going to the right people, that they are not working under the table and verifying that the info they put on the application is truthful. How do we dknow there isnt aboyfriend in the house working in the fields for $10 PH or a meth head taking the money meant for children. What about SSDI there was a thread here this week about 1.9 billion worth of payments made to dead people. Who monitors the recipients who are collecting disability and working on the side or skiing in Vail over the winter holiday.

Who makes sure that a foriegner on one of the many visas doesnt overstay. If the visa holder does overstay who tracks em down and charges them with a federal crime and brings them to justice. Who polices the businesses that attract illegals over the border to come in and work at slave wages . Who tracks down those illegals and sends them home for entering the country illegally.

I want to know who TF is minding the store? You people think we can pass law on top of law on top of law. some 3000 pages thick with no one reading them and start handing out tax payers dollars on the freakin honor system?

Ill tell ya who. NO ONE thats who. The federal government passes all these laws and have NO WAY of over seeing the programs policing them or adminsitering justice when the laws they pass are cheated, waste fraud and abused or are criminally violated.

Its freaking Chaos. We have buildings of full of Laws that no one can or will enforce. And you people think you can just keep on passing more and more laws handing our more and more tax dollars when you have absolutely no control over the federal programs in place

I will be fully on board for any new program or laws when someone shows me where the current stacks upon millions of stacks of laws are being enforced

The answer to your question is that in many cases, nobody. Nobody enforces many of the laws and then politicians claim we need more laws nobody will enforce.

And yet every agency seems to have an armed goon squad for things like shutting down guitar factories for violating the laws of another country or arresting farmers who sell raw milk...

U.S. Constitution, Article 2, Section 3:

[The President] shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.

In other words, it's the President's job to make sure the laws are followed. He enforces them. And can appoint various offices under him to carry out the job.

It's Obama's job.

(We're in big trouble. )

Ok. Tell you what we are going to do. Every person in the U.S. will be assigned 3.5 shadows to observe and verify your every move. They will be paid a decent wage to there will be no need for them to receive any welfare benefits. You speed. You are busted. You cheat on your taxes. You are busted. You exaggerate an insurance claim. You are busted. You drive home a little tipsy. You are busted. Smoke some weed. You are busted. You call in sick to golf, goof off, sleep in what ever. You are busted. You check your personal phone/emails 72 X while at work. You are busted. You post to internet forums while on the clock. You are busted.

Then we'll have a special commission for each medical practices and hospital to detect gaming of Medicare/Medicaid.

It's going to cost us all a tad more in taxes to enforce all the laws and employment contracts. On the other hand, unemployment will be zero.

If anyone is left on Welfare, we will tattoo their foreheads and sterilize them.

Detection and prevention take manpower and technology. The Federal Government has been shedding record number of full time jobs each year. States have been doing the same. So you want more enforcement but don't want to pay for it. Sounds like a loose-loose proposition to me.

That's true. If they didn't enact more BS laws, they wouldn't have a job, or be able to vote in pay raises
for themselves. Congress is a f***ing joke any more.
