The liberals are all in for the taxing of "the rich" a false narrative because Obama raised taxes on hard working Americans but when it comes to them (liberals, the 1% of the 1% they demand tax breaks.

Members of the Maryland House of Delegates are still stewing over a threat from the “House of Cards” producers to leave the state if they don’t get millions more dollars in tax credits.

So on Thursday afternoon, delegates issued a threat of their own: Sure, go ahead, leave this beautiful place that’s brimming with dedicated workers. But if you do that, state officials might use eminent domain to purchase, condemn or somehow seize your sets, equipment and other property.

Maryland delegates threaten to seize House of Cards property if filming leaves the state.

What's good for others is good for you libbys.

I thought conservatives wet their pants for lower business tax rates? I think you are getting the party line confused.

The tax break was approved by the State Senate, it will be approved by the House of Delegates.

This tax break costs the state more than it produces in compensating revenue. One thing the backers of it forgot is that the cast and crew don't live in MD and don't pay the State Income Tax, nor are they paying property taxes.

Also, the production company hires very few MD residents to work on the show in any capacity. That was one other thing that was forgotten in the rush to grant the breaks a few years ago.

I did see that the House passed it earlier today but haven't been able to locate the article.

They did vote today to ban the sale of grain alcohol-it's for the children.

Conservatives want a fair, even tax base across the board, not targeted towards specific groups who got their influence into government.

Mmm, no, that's not right. Trickle down, remember? In fact, hasn't Rick Perry been on TV lately going after Maryland trying to lure business with low tax rates?

Yeah...no. It dates from the Depression. Would you prefer if I used "Reaganomics"?

All of that is irrelevant to the issue at hand. Conservatives want lower taxes, while the OP was complaining since it was "Hollywood" that wanted the lower taxes, and because he doesn't understand differences between personal income tax and corporate taxes.
