It would take more than one mayor for that to happen. NYC wasn't even like Detroit in the '70s. For New York to turn into Detroit you'd need a half century of decline.

The last "conservative" in office spent like a drunken sailor yet where were all the bs budget hawks then ? what an odd statement. bush is a politician, and I would not give money to him. you also might want to check your facts about making it easy to get loans. google "community reinvestment act." I am stockpiling wealth, yes. buying up real estate, and maxing out my 401k. I also make extra payments on my mortgage to get out of their debt faster.
