UK To Privatize Royal Mail This Fall, Prompting Calls For Strike

I think this is a terrible idea! Privatization in the UK has never worked well before, and even Thatcher was against the idea of selling off the post office.

What's next, are they gonna sell our souls? :P

What? It's socialization that has a 100% failure rate.

Considering the downfall of paper mail, I am surprised we haven't done the same. What do we even need post offices for these days? E-mail please! Saves time, money, and trees.

Perhaps you have experienced healthcare in America lately?

Yes, I have.

I ask again. Can you point to ANYTHING that operates cheaper, more effectively than free market enterprise?

You can't.

For instance, the government completley obscures the true costs of the NHS via wildly absurd accounting, so you have NO IDEA what it costs to give you a flu shot. Nor can anyone else.

That way, you can get on TV and say 'we do it cheaper' and nobody can "prove" you wrong, since you hide the needed information.

They should have started by privatizing their horrendous health care system.

There is already a private health care option available in the UK.
