The stupidity here is astounding! Did you hear about this?

Ex-NFL star Brian Holloway may be sued by parents of teens who allegedly trashed his upstate NY home - NY Daily News

In a nutshell:

1. ex-football player sees pics of teens partying in his vacation home on twitter, he thinks it is a joke
2. more pics surface, and it is clear teens broke in, destroyed his stuff and posted the party pics on twitter (drugs, drinking, vandalism)
3. Holloway does a recognisance mission on the teens with the offending pics to build his case. 300 people were at the party.
4. Holloway tells parents/teens he won't press charges, but they should chip in to pay for damages
5. parents of offending teens threaten to sue

What the heck? Your kids broke in and caused the damage, how is it Holloway's fault?

I bet Holloway's pockets are a lot deeper than those of the parents of the feral brats that did this. He can bury them with the countersuit.

You have got to be kidding me. How about instead of concentrating on filing frivolous lawsuits they spend some time PARENTING their children?

the parents case will hold no water in court, unless holloway did something criminal in his investigation. and if the parents sue, then if i were holloway, i would start with pressing charges against everyone of the kids that broke into his house that could be identified, and the counter sue the parents for ten times the amount the parents sue for, plus damages to the property, and offer to settle out of court for property damages and lawyers fees. if they say no, its then see you in court people, and bring your check books, you will need them.

The kids involved and their loon parents need a good beating. Take them on to a football field and use them as a tackling dummies. It might knock some sense in to them.

Do these parents realize Holloway can press charges against the precious little children if he wants to? They should be thrilled that all they have to do is pay to fix the damages.

Insane...you have to wonder how those kids ever had a chance with parents like that.

As a side note, anyone want to take bets on how long before someone finds a way to twist this into something partisan?

I don't see how the parents have a case. Sounds like it's dead on arrival.

I wish I was surprised.

He needs to press charges and take every one of those parents and their kids to civil court. He is looking at it from the perspective of a parent, unfortunately these people are not parenting their kids.
