Especially when they are obviously in the minority. If they want to take "their" country back, they need to find a majority of people who agree with them.

Not likely.

Cruz and Putin probably have a lot in common. They were both raised by Communist fathers.

This isn't about gun control, genius, it's about defunding Obamacare. Try to keep up.

And I'm a fan of the 2nd amendment, I just don't get a hard on when I see a gun.

You may want to do a bit of research. The health care system in America sucks big time. We are way down the chart, and worse after the comparative costs for that care+ between the U.S. and other countries are calculated.

As a for instance, when Kate Middleton had her baby, the total cost was @ $15,000. The same delivery and hospital stay here would have been an average of $30,000.

We are also the only first world country that doesn't have UHC. The U.K. does. Draw your own conclusions.

Well, I'll tell you what; Ted Cruz stands a lot taller than Harry Reid, John McCain, and Dick Durban, or any of the other Democrats you can name.

This isn't some game being played here. People are losing their jobs, having their hours cut, losing health plans they are happy with, and having their premiums skyrocket, because of this egregious bill. There isn't anything good about it. Why do you think the Unions now want out? Of course, Barack Obama will let them opt out in the end, and the rest of us will be stuck with it.

If it is so damn good, why don't our Congressmen and Senators want to be part of it?

"Improving" a bad piece of legislation is a waste of time, and it still won't work. We need to repeal it and work with the system we had.

No government run anything is cost efficient or will improve services. Haven't we learned that in 200 years?
You say: "We need to repeal it and work with the system we had."

Ok, so here is the problem. The system we had is GONE! Defunding does NOT bring back the system we had! You are as dumb as Cruz if you can't figure this out. The ACA is partway in, partway out, and you cannot stop now.

You ask: "You thing ObamaCare is a good "substitute" for what was (still is, for a little while longer) the best health care system in the world?"

No, Obamacare is not a good substitute. It is the ONLY think available to the self-employed after January 1. You and Cruz would tell us to go where? A mythical return to "what we had" that is already destroyed by the provisions of the ACA that are already in effect?

Republicans failed to win enough elections to avoid Obamacare, failed to get the Supreme Court to rule against it, failed to win the Senate....fail, fail, fail. You say we need to repeal it. THAT'S A HOOT! We do not have the VOTES! Can you count?

Cruz is still a speck of crap on a gnat's ass, and will be until he explains where today's buyers of insurance in the individual insurance market will go for coverage after January 1. And pretending like we can go back to what we had without a total repeal is exactly like saying unicorns will deliver magical new policies to everybody who needs one.

Why don't we fix the problems you mention? Sever the connection between work and health care. Fix the part-time problem, fix the 50th employee problem, fix what's broken about the POS that is Obamacare. But defunding is even more unworkable than fixing the POS we have.

Of course, you aren't buying your own insurance, are you? So you don't give a damn about the farmers and ranchers and shopkeepers and self-employed and small businesses that actually do need a place to go buy insurance after January 1.

Funny, when that woman in filibustered even though it was known beforehand that she couldn't stop the vote, I don't recall you saying that about her. Oh, that's right. She was a Democrat, so that changes everything.
