So, the president said back in January that he was "skeptical" of the NRA's suggestion to put more armed security in more schools, but yet they now have seemingly come to their senses, admitted it's a good idea, and have allocated millions of dollars to put the NRA's plan in to action? Yep! that sure is what it looks like to me!

Thank you NRA!!!!

Somehow, I don't think the Libs and their media will be so eager to give the NRA credit for this one, do you?

Obama shifts $45 million for armed cops in schools

All Obama said was that he was skeptical, not that he wasn't open to the idea or wouldn't do it.

Good on the NRA for suggesting this and hopefully this'll lead to safer schools and less shootings.

I support the 2nd amendment but it isn't a good idea. It's overkill. It's requiring training wheels at the Tour de France because sometimes bike's will crash.

School security should not be a federal concern, it should be local.
The NRA's suggestion just made big government bigger, good job fellas. This also why they no longer get any of my money.

LOL. Glad to see him doing it. NRA gets credit? Hmmmm, many Liberals, including myself, said we should do this before the NRA ever made their suggestion, you do know people have the ability to think without the help of organizations or talking heads, don't ya? Ok, some people can do it.

The NRA had nothing to do with "how" the idea got funded. It is still an absurdly small amount. If we can spend 500+ million(YES THAT'S HALF A BILLION) building a single high school I am sure we can find money somewhere for armed security.

The right wing/NRA version of freedom includes more armed guards everywhere, metal detectors, and pat downs, all in the name of "freedom."

I'm not against spending money on school security, but that's where we're heading, folks.

Why do you want the federal government in dc determining the security of the school up the street?
The more layers you add and the greater the disconnect from the taxpayer, the poorer the results.
School security should be a local concern.

It`s a stupid idea. We managed to cut down on drunken driving accidents but nobody thought that adding more alcohol was the way to go about it.

Well analogy fail.
The gun is a tool, do you blame the driver or the car in a drunk driving accident?
