That's interesting you say that. I was actually thinking the opposite, that it's more conservative leaning. I figured that it had something to do with the age group that is attracted here. C-D seems to attract a lot of older or retired people.
It's interesting that people come to different conclusions when they are reading the same posts. It probably says more about your own leanings than anything (how far right or left you are). I'm willing to bet that those who think one way or the other about who dominates this forum tend to focus on those posts they disagree with rather than those whom they agree with.
Since non-conservatives make up the vast majority of the American population, it makes sense.
You are wrong, most Americans are conservatives, and don't give me that "President Obama won the election" nonsense.
President Obama won that election because too many conservatives were disillusioned by the non-conservative GOP nominee, so they stayed home and allowed Democratic voter turn out to carry the day.
The silent majority will make their voice heard once the GOP nominates a true conservative to lead the executive branch.
I'm a firearm-owning disabled veteran from the Deep South. And for most of my adult life, I was a confirmed Republican, a subscriber to National Review and an eager volunteer and donor to the state and national GOP.
I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say that even though I'd never voted for a Democrat before in my life, I became extremely disappointed in and disillusioned with the GOP, left them before the end of President Bush's first term and I really don't see myself going back.
