Here's what's even more unbelievable. One of the options that's being floated in the House right now is to pass their own plan, chock full of their own demands, and then adjourn and leave town so that no further negotiation is possible before we hit the debt ceiling.
This is what passes as "governing" in the GOP these days. At what point do we concede that one chamber of our Congress has been overtaken by hostile forces whose only aim is to take down the government?
Yes, they are not negociating the bipartisan Senate proposal, and instead double down on the bluff. It's a huge political fumble.
Obama and Reid can get anything funded to keep government open except Obamacare. Yet they refuse. This is on them. Conservatives and even some Dems are against Obamacare.

Wrong. They do know. 74% of the population does not approve of the GOP's tactics of shutting down the government over the ACA. You believing they don't know what is going on is just wishful thinking on your part.
And you sure seem willing to make certain the entire country "goes down" if you don't get what YOU want, but the rest of us kind of like this country and would like to keep it.
